Troubleshooting Tips for Poor TV Reception
If you experience any disturbance in your television reception, the problem may be due to an oversight. Here's an important checklist that may help you locate the source of the problem quickly:

Always ensure that all devices (TV, set-top box, VCR) are plugged into your power outlet and the power is turned on.
Ensure that all cable connections are intact and tight.
Inspect all cords for wear and tear.
Check that the selected channel on your TV set is tuned to VHF Ch 04. (Band 1, VHF-LOW, 62.25 MHZ)

In addition, you could also try taking the following steps:

Problem	Trouble Shooting
Picture leaning/flipping	Adjust horizontal control of TV set
Picture too bright or dark	Adjust brightness control of TV set
Blank screen, sound ok	Check if TV brightness and contrast controls are adjusted
Picture rolling	Adjust vertical hold of TV set
No sound, picture ok	Adjust TV or set top volume control. Check if either are in mute mode.
Washed-out picture	Adjust TV contrast control
No picture, snow on screen	Check that the selected set top channel on your TV set is turned to VHF Ch 04. Check fine-tuning Check all connections Confirm channel number
Sparks on picture	Check other electrical appliance in operation Check for loose connection Check other channels
Wrong channels	Check that the selected set top channel on your TV set is turned to VHF Ch 04 Adjust fine-tuning
Remote control not working	Check for obstacles in the line of sight between your remote control and the set top Check the batteries of your remote control
